Over a three year period, the 20 members of 'Friends of Photographer In Workshop',
under the guidance of photographer Yasutaka Kajiyama (Miyamotocho 1-chome), have prepared
about 30,000 monochrome prints, color negatives and color slides of city cultural assets
and objects relating to them.
"Objects have limitations. We take pictures of them precisely and from every
angle because our goal is to preserve culture through photographs. The environment
surrounding the object is taken at the same time", says Mr. Hiratsuka. |
