A unique database with written information on and optical disk images of the roughly
1700 item Sasagawa Collection of dyed fabrics and tools from around the world. Information
can be accessed by the fiber's country of origin, use, period produced, materials,
technique, pattern, and design.
When necessary, the actual object may be retrieved for study. In addition to the car
fabric, manufactured goods, embroidered work, wedding attire, western cloth and other
textile products exhibited, there are also small cloth items such as neckties and scarves,
confectionery, udon noodles, mushrooms and konnyaku for sale. There is a business
information service as well.
